Package: £110,000 base + 10% bonus + benefits

A newly shaped Head of IT Infrastructure Projects Delivery role with a large global business entering a period of significant transformation. As the senior infrastructure delivery lead, you'll own the full project portfolio and have a real mandate to shape where the estate goes next, from cloud acceleration to modernising the regional footprint.

The direct team is small, but the reach isn't. Like a programme lead, you'll drive delivery across teams of up to 50 people spanning engineering, operations, regional IT and partners.

About Our Client

Our client is a large, well-established global business operating across many countries, with a complex, hybrid infrastructure estate. Group IT is moving from a service management model to a delivery and strategy model, and this role sits at the centre of that shift. It's a newly redefined position, created to bring stronger technical delivery and a clear roadmap to an estate that's growing in complexity.

What You'll Be Doing as a Head of IT Infrastructure Projects Delivery

• Owning the global infrastructure portfolio, from demand intake and prioritisation through to delivery and handover to support
• Leading complex, multi-party projects across engineering, operations, regional IT teams and third-party partners, using a structured delivery lifecycle
• Shaping and driving the infrastructure roadmap over 6, 12 and 24 months, making sure initiatives are agreed, resourced and actually moving
• Providing infrastructure plans, estimates and costs to the PMO, then delivering once approved
• Bringing the technical judgement to challenge estimates, spot slippage early and manage expectations honestly
• Leading and developing a small delivery co-ordination team, and improving how the function works

What We're Looking For From The Head of IT Infrastructure Projects Delivery

• A proven track record of delivering IT infrastructure projects in a large, global, matrixed organisation
• Enough technical depth across networks, cloud, identity, end-user computing and integration to hold your own with architects and engineers. You won't be designing solutions, but you need to know what good looks like.
• Public cloud delivery experience, ideally Azure, and ideally including on-premise to cloud migration
• The drive to go out and engage stakeholders, not wait for work to arrive, balanced with strong governance discipline
• Confident, credible communication with senior leadership and dispersed, multicultural teams
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a business going through change

Qualifications

• A project or programme management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP) is a plus, not a requirement
• Relevant infrastructure or cloud certifications are welcome
